Q3W2



Language Arts: Students should be memorizing 
our poem this week, The Adventures of Isabel. Recitations 
will be in two weeks. We will have a normal week of spelling. 
We will be composing a three paragraph essay. . Finally, we 
Continue our new novel, The Trumpet of the Swan.

Math: This week we will be working on fractions.There is a 
short quiz Tuesday. We need parent volunteers every week for
 math groups. Please consider helping out :)


History: Students will review some initial information about the
 Vikings. Then they will take a closer look at the Vikings as sailors 
as well as the long boats that they used for travel, trade and exploration.
 In addition, they will also study about Eric the Red, one of the 
Viking’s more famous explorers and the geography of places traveled
 to, such as: Greenland and Iceland. Students will also discover the
 reasons for why the Vikings were known for their travels through
 the cold and dangerous waters of the north Atlantic ocean. 

Science: This week we will continue learning about Sound! Students
will identify parts of the ear and their functions. They will also learn 
and discuss how to care for their ears.
